The lake trout fishing is not like it was 15 years ago, but the cutts are bigger and more of them.
I prefer cutts to lakers,( different argument that I don't want to get into)
But I also want the lake trout population stable.
My friend showed me a pic from the 60's him and his family had a string line of 15 lb lakers they caught long lining.
And he said they did that every weekend in the summer, wow.
I have noticed your average run of the mill laker at 10-15 lbs with very few that break 20, it will be cool, if we continue to realese 15lberz to see in 20 years at 20-25 lbs in bear lake, .....
Or and 8 lb whitefish , just had to throw that in
