I am hoping that BLFG or another biologist is watching this post and chimes in on the lakers. They barely reproduce at all in the lake, there still are a few of the macks in there that aren't sterile but not alot. The lake doesn't provide proper habitat and chemistry for good reproduction. Idaho only plants 10-15,000 a year and that is 3-6"ers compared to the hundreds of thousand cuts that go in. There is no way that they could take over in bear lake. I think that they are on the decline. I have friends that have fished the lake for many years and say the same, they have also said that the cuts are getting bigger and more plentiful. Take it for what its worth. Either way I love Bear Lake!
