Not Cabela's fault. They have to charge sales tax in states where they have a business presence, whether that's retail stores, warehouses or whatever. It's that way with any company. If BPS ever opens a store in Idaho (which may not be that far off as they are opening one in Tacoma, WA soon), the same thing will happen. When I lived in WA I didn't order much through Amazon because of the sales tax issue.
If you live close to the store, I find not having to pay shipping usually makes up for having to pay sales tax.[/quote]
Didn't blame Cabelas for having to adhere to the laws of the state. But generally my orders fall into the free shipping category, so that combined with no sales tax gets my business. My money, your money we earned it, we have to choice where and how to spend it.
I live 30 minutes from Sportsmans in Idaho Falls and very rarely frequent them as in the past they seldom had exactly what I wanted/needed. Wife spends more money in there buying clothing for presents than I do on sporting goods.
