I knew the fish would be small, but I decided to go to Mackay last Saturday anyway just because I love the scenery/drive to Mackay.
We started late and took it easy. Ended up getting there around 11:00AM.
The fishing was easy as long as you had something pink that was small enough for the Kokanee. We all limited out rather quickly and had a great drive back home well before dark. It just doesn't work out like that most of the time so I enjoyed it.
Here is a video demonstrating how many small kokes were under the ice at any given time. We were fishing in 30-40ft of water.
