I agree with most of what you said, but as I've changed my techniques and styles over the years, I've come to prefer the UL stuff for everything short of Lakers and possibly TM (not sure on the TM, cause I haven't caught one yet).

I like the IB-24 and they are only $8. I'd trade them for any of the $15-20 rods in my case.
