You stumbled on to the right place. I fish there all the time and cats, bluegill, sunfish and tilapia is what we usually catch plus more my brother caught himself a flathead there off a worm and its also a great place for bass. You'll be surprised some of the other crazy fish you catch there I keep catching what I think are Texas cichlids but I am not to sure yet if that's exactly what they are. Liver and cut bait works great there for catfish the biggest I have caught there so far was a 12lb catfish and for the tilapia and sunfish they love worms. If you like to catch carp there is a lot in that water system as well. If you do decide to go fish there and park of Avondale rd next to PIR you can walk down the old road that used to be there but when you get to the river its best to follow the river west going under the bridge that's were you'll find the better fishing spots since it usually gets a little crowded next to the old road. Anyways check it out let me know how it goes good luck.
