[quote TubeDude][#0000ff] I usually go early in the morning...not so much because of a silly notion the fish bite better, but because that is typically the calmest time of day.

Ha, couldn't agree more. I have always found time of day not to be too important. I know there are exceptions to the rule, always are. But a case in point. I have seen many boaters head out at the crack of dawn or earlier, even had a debate with the Bro-inlaw about this. I usually never get out until about 10 am. One morning we decided to load up and head out with the Bro-Inlaw (just had to prove my point). Packed our breakfast and coffee and was on the water at 6 am. Fished all the places we knew there were fish, threw everything we had (and knew would work) at them. Not one fish, not even a nibble until 10:30 am. We still laugh about that day, he still goes early, I still start working my way out of bed at 6 am. LOLOLOL
