Henry's Lake Ice?

Craziest thing I have ever seen was a guy with two pieces of 4x8 plywood. He pushed the one on to the thin ice, grabbed his rod, bait, and a hammer and crawled onto the plywood. He then slid the second piece to a spot in front of the first and worked his way on to the lake. One hit with hammer and he was through the ice....Either he has cahonees the size of soft balls or just dumb as a box of rocks. Or maybe he is an ice fisherman like us desparate for some sort of hard deck.
