Summer is bad, but you don't hear much on Henry's during the summer because it is so shallow and full of vegetation, making it very hard TO fish.
They are planting Henry's with doable numbers, but then they opened the tribs and the naturals added to the numbers. I don't know for sure, but I don't think they expected the numbers.
This was just one time and now open for good(I think). It will take adjusting all the way around. AND Time. There is a year or two of growth that is strangely not accounted for as Wind mentioned.
Lipripper, I have been fishing Henry's for over 20 years is all. I agree, there were trips that one fish was GREAT! But it also depended on the time of year. It "was" a technical Lake and for me, that was the beauty. A true Blue Ribbon fishery that you didn't catch a fish all the time, but when you did.....hang on!
Technical, but I figured it out and was able to find and entice more fish to hook. Smallest being a 24".
2006 was the best year for me on that lake. Starting with a 26" then 28" then 32" and finally that 36", so I REALLY know what that lake "could" do and it took years to figure it out.
It was more about Quality of the fish, but now about the quantity .... big difference, and I will say it again, that is what IP was for.
