To me henrys is all about fun sure you have a chance at catching a large fish but the numbers and colors of the fish more than make up for it if you don't. If it is lacking those trophy fish from years past wouldn't the best option be to thin the heard? open it year round 1 fish over 20 inches no live bait and maybe increase the daily limit and barbless hooks . I know it can be lack of food as every fish we caught last year had leaches all over them and the ones my buddy kept were full of minnows. the fish all appeared to be very healthy . I would almost guess those hot summer months have a worse effect than winter and those would be the times i would worry about fishing for them and survival rate after being released.
