Yes, I would have pulled a trolling motor battery first. We were just joking about paddling back. I had enough juice in my trolling batteries to easily make it back to the ramp. I carry a set of jumper cables but they were 6" too short to reach the batteries of my new boat. I love where Lund put my battery storage for the trolling motor but they are a little more difficult to reach on where they were in my Crestliner. I need to remember to lengthen those jumper cables 1' before my next trip!
The water at Starvy last saturday was nothing short of awesome. There were probably less than a dozen boats on the lake, flat as glass, and zero water maggots ( jet skis).
Just as much as hoping for good fishing, I wanted to run my big motor and let her rip.
The new 150 four stroke from Merc has incredible power and is a thrill to drive!
