I never thought I'd beat my 26" walleye I caught at Deer Creek about 9 years ago because I thought the same thing about Oneida, and I typically just fish within an hour of my house. I doubt I'll ever catch one that big there again, but just that little possibility will keep me coming back for sure.
The season license is definitely pricey, but worth it in my opinion. Of course I live close enough to Idaho that I could walk there, so it's the Utah license that hardly sees any use from me.
