Wow, that doesn't look good. I was up there shortly before the fire and wondered what it looked like after. Thanks for sharing the photos. I don't like all the mud flowing into the river but it is such a good ecosystem and those fish are really strong. The reports I am hearing reflect cautious optimism but the erosion situation will certainly be tenuous over the next several years. My money is on Mother Nature on this deal and I hope it will recover quickly.
The Middle Fork of the Boise got blown out, what 20 or 25 years ago? It took several years to recover but I think that was more devastating that what recently happened on the South Fork.
I'm just glad I got a chance to fish it before this tragedy.
