It's U.S. OPEN Time_Lake Mead
#3
I went out there to check it out today. Launched the boat about noon, fished til about 1:30 and then went in to watch the weigh in. I brought my little daughter with me, and she got bored quick, so we didnt stay for too long.

General consensus was that the fishing was really tough. Many guys didn't have a limit, and many who did were weighing in fish that barely touched a pound.

I got to talk to Aaron Martens for a minute. His weight was somewhere in the 7 pound range. Super cool guy.

It was a bluebird day out there following a few stormy days. That must have contributed to the low weights. Anglers are hoping for some cloud cover tomorrow.

I caught 3 keeper smallies while I was on the water. One on a drop shot, one on a square bill and one on a 3xd crank. All squeaker fish, but they all measured.

Good luck to all the guys fishing, hopefully the weather cooperates tomorrow and these guys can get some quality bags.

I think the top weight today was in the 13 pound range. I haven't looked at the score sheet yet.
