Branching out, bow to the bow
#3
I studied Cherokee bow making and have the hand tools and Osage Orange bow staves. It's part of my collection of preparedness skills.

I, too, want to bow fish someday. A bow fishing trip with anyone into it will be a greatly appreciated learning oppportunity and I always pay my way.

When I first got a little into archery, I started with the modern compound bow and sights. At the time of a deer hunt, my hunting skills were far superior to my archery skills. I could get plenty close to large bucks, but lacked the skill and confidence to shoot a moving target. Since then, I switched to the instinctive style of shooting with the traditional bow. I'll devote time to practice before my next archery hunt, but for now, I'm very much into fishing. But, bow fishing fits into my current learning of an assortment of different fishing skills.
