My buddy and i just got done taking our elk off the mountain that we shot last night. It was his first elk and first critter with a bow. He thought he missed and I told him I was pretty sure I herd something hit it and he got really excited when we found blood. He shot it at 40 yards. We were hunting up Logan Canyon, With my elk I had to decide which one I wanted to shoot since there were about seven cows and one spike. I chose a cow that gave me that best presented a broadside shot.
