That's probably true, but it doesn't mean that the line is identical to another brand. A company might very well specify a certain chemistry or tighter quality control standards than another. Or one company might be buying the reject line from production of another company's line.

The old rule about getting what you pay for usually holds true, but it doesn't guarantee that more expensive stuff is necessarily better just because it costs more. Setting a high price doesn't magically improve quality.

The converse - that cheap is cheap - ALWAYS holds true, IMO.
