Cold weather spinning reels?

Thanks for the experience tips. So, would you say the braided lines aren't very good for cold/ice fishing? Stick with a good quality mono or flouro?
I'm getting ready to buy my first ice-fishing outfit. Should I go with a ready-to-go combo and trust the reel that's on the rod? [signature] |
