Wow, that is funny! I bet the rumor was started by the same guys that always say they will fish it but never show up! It's really funny because pretty much everyone that fishes the King of the Water also fish bass tournaments at Milner, Walcott and CJ on a regular basis! Kenny might be a good bet, he would have won it last year if he would have caught a limit of walleye! Fact of the matter is, you have to catch (both) species to win it!!! My guess is the rumor starters are the ones that don't know how to catch walleyes. Therefore they won't put there money where there mouth is!
The decision was made for both days at Salmon because its easier and a whole lot cheaper! Not having to haul the weigh trailer and extra rigs to different places and being able to camp in one location!
