No offense to remo or any other cop on the forum, do not ever assume they are competent or safe with a firearm. Range days with LE folks, I wear body armor and any honest range officer will agree (and is likely also wearing armor) with me on this. Cops are no different than anyone else when it comes to firearms, some are very proficient, some should be fired for their inability to shoot. The fact that Remo knows the fundamentals of safety with a firearm puts him above a lot of other officers IMHO. Go shoot with any which live in your neighborhood, it will likely scare the crap out of you.
