Kodiak, think I barely missed you up there. I spotted your boat in the parking lot at the ramp on Monday, when we were getting out of the water a little after noon.
I will third the statement of it being slow at Cascade. We drove up Sunday and got on the water at about 10:30 and fished until 2:30. There were large schools of 4 to 5 inch perch swimming around docks when we launched. We ran up as far as Sugarloaf and fished the west side of the reservoir the first day. Lots of little ones chasing your bait nearly every time you would reel in. We only caught two that would've been worth keeping.
The next morning we started early on the west side, in the spot that we had caught the larger of the fish the day before. It was the same scenario with a large number of small fish tapping and chasing your bait. We ended up catching five fish that went 9 or 10 inches and tossed them all back. We stop fishing around 2:30.
It was beautiful weather and a very nice time, but I still haven't figure that place out...
