DWR proposed fishing license increase
#95
My whole family loves to fish and I have a family of five...That much of a hike rate would only hurt the law abiding citizens and discouraging them from fishing...This wouldn't effect the law breakers at all and might encourage more people to not by licenses...FWIW I don't mind paying the increase especially if it includes the second pole permit.
Children under 14 don't need a license thats the current law the new proposal

Right now, an angler who turns 14 must buy the same license adults buy. The DWR is proposing a separate license for young anglers. Instead of buying a license for $26, anglers between 14 and 17 years old could buy a 365-day license for $16.

So if you kids are 14 and older you will be saving 10 bucks per kid. if there 18 and older then they can afford to buy there own license saving you even more [Wink]
