I'm all for it. It's going to save me some $$$ and some space in my wallet.
I always have a two pole license and I buy licenses for a couple of older teens.
I'm guessing the change for the two-pole permit is an "efficiency" thing. It probably costs about as much to manage a system for second pole license holders as they were collecting. And as more anglers took advantage, the increased revenue wasn't adding much to the bottom line.
Increases every 5-10 years should be expected with inflation.
