Did you get to go?
I went yesterday. We hit the water at 6:15 and fished the Narrows. The action was good until around 9:00, then either they stopped biting or the school we were anchored over moved on. Bites were sparse the rest of the day.
We caught 3 good crappie, about 6 good perch, several small to mid-size perch (5-9"), a bluegill, a pikeminnow, and a few dinky smallmouth.
Everything was deep. We were over 25' of water and almost every fish was picked up within 2' of the bottom. I think this is the first trip to CJ that I caught more perch than little bass. I guess they headed for deeper water too?
Water temperature was 76 before sunrise and 78 when I left at 2:00. Water clarity was much better than I expected. I could see my red/white jig about 4' down.
