DWR proposed fishing license increase
#64
So in other words we all stay making the same amount of money but have to put up with gas prices increasing and they can increase it cause of that?
Everything has gone up for us but we still find a way to go fishing. Its called problem solving...stock fewer trips but with more fish, etc.

Lol most of the issues you're talking about they had to deal with in the past and were accounted for with the money coming from licenses. Plus With how many people fish, a 50 cent increase in price would more than cover the costs of fuel/whatever went up. 8$ is totally b.s.
No what we are saying is that they have dove a good job of making what they had go as far as they could for so many years without passing an increase on to you every year.

Ten years ago they didn't have near the hybrid stocking programs that they do now and that is something that is very labor intensive and costs a fair amout of coin. But these programs are far cheaper than poisoning off entire lake and replanting them to control the rough fish populations and provide for some cool azz fishing to boot.

You are right though we don't need any of the stuff and soon we can all aspire to have a profound love of carp fishing. [crazy]
