I don't understand why some people are okay with this. Here's a summary of the 3 negatives I can think about this.
1-Overfishing if that 2 pole permitt is included for that cheap.
2-Money maker: doesn't take much brains to figure out that there's more 17-65 year olds than there is 14-17 year olds. It's just a money maker so the government can either pay off debt, collect more money or spend it on something stupid lol. I really doubt stocking would be any better.
3- For those who say fishing is like 9 cents per day...Yeah, most of us can't fish 7 days a week, let a lone for a significant amount of time and almost everywhere has some kind of additional fee, whether it be a day use pass or several days pass on camping trips. Also to go anywhere decent requires lots of gas money and of course the food/water necessities that come with it. They make their money on other ways besides the fishing license and second pole permits.
Would I stop fishing cause it went up $8? No but its pushing the limits. It's taking advantage of what they know they can do and get away with it.
