I took mine at Doug Shoot and Sports, The instructor is pretty straight forward guy, The first part is all lecture explains to you gun laws and what you can and cant do.

The second part is demonstrating gun safety, how to fire and reload the weapon safely All the weapons training part is done downstairs on there gun range. Not sure what area you live in but Dougs is on 50th S, and redwood.
