I don't think a call to the DWR would be needed to find out that if you keep big bass, there is going to be less big bass. That's just basic math.
You're perfectly within your legal rights to drive through a school zone over and over with a blood alcohol content of .079. People are probably going to frown upon that too.
I don't even specifically fish for bass. It bums me out when people keep bigger fish of any species when theres plenty of smaller ones for the taking.
