Just wondering if anyone drives over the mountain from Pocatello to get to Chesterfield reservoir.
Looking on google maps it looks like from Fort Hall take Simplot Rd and a couple other roads will take you around the north side of Mt Putnam and then drive south to the reservoir.
Is this faster than going down through Lava? It looks like quite a shorter distance but not sure if it is more time efficient. Also what are the road conditions like?
