In the past I have been primarily a stillwater fly fisherman. This year I have gotten much more into fly fishing the rivers nearby. It has been a pretty good year so far. Went up to I.P. for a family reunion this last weekend and managed to get away for a few hours and fish Henry's Lake. Pulled in my personal best of 19" at Henry's which I know isn't huge but was a good solid fish. Caught 8 in just a few hours ranging from 15-19". I have caught the stillwater bug again and am wanting to get out again soon. Was thinking of hitting up I.P. Reservoir but have not fished it. At one time I heard that if you didn't have a motor it wasn't worth it. Due to the distance you would have to row to get to any decent spots. Is this true? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
