No problem guys
I had one of those crappy little orange life jackets but didn't wear it in this little pond. No current, no wind, my wife was there if I needed her, and the kids wading across it probably would have laughed at me
. I do think I'll check out one of those small inflatable ones and pick up something nicer. At the very least I will strap a jacket to my belt in bigger water and wear one on the river.
No pics yet, sweat was pouring off my face by the time we pumped it up by hand, and my wife didn't want to risk dropping her phone in the water (although mine is working again so next time we will have pics).
Shipping package says 85 pounds, they claim it is 65 on the website, so somewhere in there. In the bag I can toss it up onto my back and pack it fairly easily, with a battery operated pump I could walk it down to the water and then fill it up by myself without any issues. Filling it up first I may be able to get it onto my back, but that could be iffy. I've gotten out of shape as a computer tech and I'm not all that big to begin with.
