As has been noted before (many times) I'm a little bit odd. So I use 3, 5, and 7 weights.

I started fly fishing for bass and bluegill somewhere back in the late Cenozoic. I actually owned a telescoping steel fly rod at the beginning. Strung it with cotton cord because no place near me sold fly line...

I finally got an actual 9-wt rod and a WF line to match. Made a helluva difference. Somewhere deep in the bowels of my stuff I still have that Abu-Garcia "Delta" triangular reel with that line on it. I turned the tip of the rod into an ice-fishing rod, but that's another tale.
