I like an intermediate line and a short strip, strip, strip...p...a...u...s..e... type of retrieve. It could also be your pattern, are you tying them yourself or buying them? When it comes to damsel patterns less is more, big bulky damsels are not as good as a thin minimalist one. Just my two cents. Best of luck.
