the line trick works , and yes it do tingle a bit , lol !
the trick is to push the eye of the hook down to the skin without sinking the hook further in . use heavy MONO line looped thru the hooks gap (against and paralelle to the skin ) and one quick snap and it's out .
now this may be o.k. for the fleshey parts of the body , but for the face avd along veins, nerves and other "could do more damage than good " areas i would recomend stabilising the hook by surounding or packing around it with whatever is availible and then taping it in place so that there is no further penetration . then do like you did , go see the doc .
oh yea , never cut the hook off short if it is attached to a lure , leave as much there as possible . like a porcupine quill the barb will travel and eventually kill .
great subgect on this one , most people never think about it untill there "stuck " in the same situation .
got any other tips ?
