useful fishing vest items

For me, the most important things I carry fishing are a combo hemostat/scissors (you can even get one now that has a pin on it to tie nail knots and heavy ones that work almost as well as needle-nose pliers), my worn-out Hank Robert's Walton's thumb (along the lines of JapanRon, I most use the Thumb's bodkin to untangle rats nests), and a Leatherman. For my big fish vest, I used the heavier combo hemostat/scissors and an Able Perfect Tool instead of the Walton's Thumb which I no longer can find.
