Welcome to the forum, Toadie. Thanks for joining and posting. I'd suggest earthworms for bait. You can sweeten the deal by getting a tube of "rotten shad" catfish scent at walmart. It comes in a tube that looks kind of like DAP silicone. It really doesn't smell that bad, it is molasses based and can really help the bite.
