That's precisely what I was doing. 4" & 5" stick baits, weightless, wacky rigged with high-vis yellow braid and an 8' flouro leader. [

Generally pretty bulletproof approach, but that cold front threw them for a loop.
I'll get out there again soon, but not THIS weekend, and probably not for several days after. They'll see more tackle than you can shake an (Ugly)Stik at over the next several days. [

As my own boss, I generally choose to avoid rush hour on the water (aka 'the weekends') - and opt for middle of the week trips where me and my boys are sharing the water with fishermen of the winged and beaked variety.
