And Uinta's has all that. There are thousands of lakes up there.

All of the bigger lakes are within walking distance. Get on Washington and kick (or row) all the way across the lake and Tail lake then hike a mile or so up hill to Shadow. Great day of fishing at just under 10,000. If I plan this trip, I don't take a motor obviously.
But, I could take food, tent, and sleeping bag and camp up there
Lightening storms move in almost daily and fast, having OARS on any one of these lakes makes an exit a breeze.

10 X that 5 Acres and over that 10,000. No motor isn't needed but makes it much nicer and able to get out in the middle easier. Add a sonar and now I can tell you, there are areas of these lakes that are over 50' deep.
As you can see from the maps, your choices are endless and again, all within walking distance, however, many make these trips of several days using horses or goats.
AND that is just one slope of the Uintas.[
