Punctuation matters.
A professor wrote the words, “Woman without her man is nothing” on the blackboard and directed his students to punctuate it correctly.
The men wrote: “Woman, without her man, is nothing.”
The women wrote: “Woman: Without her, man is nothing.”
(Oh, and I shamefully admit that I do fish. Not as much as I want to, and more than my wife wants me to. But I seldom brag about it. Long past that.)
