Well the 1A hatch was in full effect at CJ this weekend reminded me of that scene in Jaws when all the tourists brought there boats out trying to catch a shark.
1st - I was fishing on a friday afternoon, and doing really well and some non-locals literally got there boat withing 10" and casted in front of my boat. something was said and they got the point. Find a place work the water, figure it out
2nd - I don't know if its a macho thing, but please stop putting up things like CJ 12/12 and telling everyone on internet fishing is crazy good, let people figure some stuff out on there own, it will build a little character. 1A-ers people see that and the place is a mad house for the next week. Not to say it isn't their right it just messy when people start putting stuff out there in the open PMs are nice.
3rd - Establish some personal limits on fish, ITS NOT AN ENDLESS RESOURCE, and slamming 48 quart coolers with fish day in and day out isn't gonna last very long. The people I hear complain about poor fishing tend to be the people who abuse the fishery the most.
Most will read this and dismiss, or complain, I simply could care less. This is a vent from a guy that has been a steward of Idahos outdoor resources for a Decade and wants to see it continue with prosperity for the next decade. Use it, dont abuse it!
I agree that some people abuse their "right to fish". Some people keep more than they should. But blaming a county hardly seems accurate. Same goes for a demographic. But here again, I too, do see the trends.
I'm fairly certain that "public lands" doesn't mean "LOCAL ONLY public".
I will remember to ask your permission if I ever want to fish at CJ strike.
And, since you don't approve of the "1A-ers" being in your neck of the woods, does that mean you only fish in your county? Pot meet kettle?
