i belive that experience is key i hold my line inbetween two fingers and can feel evey bump the bait get on the bottom all the time and find just knowing that a fish has picked up the bait and setting the hook is a big part alot of times they wont move your pole or even twitch your line before they feel your line and spit it out i think alot of fish get missed just because people didnt know they had them on and face it with big fish you get one chance they pick it up and feel your line they well not come back to let you try again
