Only problem with the Rampage and a gas motor (same as the Renegade which Cpierce has done) is if you put it on the back (bend) with the motor mount, and your seat will fill with water. Put a deck on and put it in the deck like a Zodiac or yours and Alan's boat you are sitting facing the motor and having to look over your shoulder.
I do know A guy that bought a frame for his so he could use a gas motor. Basically an X5.
Now, how hard is it to get to one of those coves you talk of in a pontoon or float tube?
