Well, I finally got out on the water with my new Grey's GS2 3wt outfit. (Complete home renovation is a booger for stealing time, lemme tell ya...) Went for an hour or so to the Weber Wibber at the mouth of the canyon.
Talk about a good omen: caught a cute little cutt on the very first cast. Caught four or five in the next hour, all on a #18 bead-head pheasant tail - until a much larger fish decided he wanted it for himself.
Anyway, the rod is a delight, and so is the Orvis line that flygoddess advised me to to buy.
