The Owyhee river has plenty of good spots to hit.
Stop at the owyhee store on your way up (at the junction on hwy 20/26), and talk to Jimmy or Janice, they may be able to give you some current info.
Keep in mind though, water's short around here, so there won't be much of a flow in July. Rumor has it they're at 50% capacity right now.
There are a few deep-ish pools on the way up. by the bridge, above & below the hot spring, and right by the park below the dam, just to name a few.
I haven't fished it in quite a few years, so I can't comment on how the fishing is. but over the past few years I've seen flyfishermen on the river all summer, all up & down it.
