When bass fishing I use a 8lb braid for rods useing a single hook. Gives me more streghth to set the hook. 10lb mono or florocarbon for rods useing a lure with treble hooks, so they can strecth some what, and not pull the hook out. So I would take a spool of each depending on how I am going to rig up.
