That's funny, gill nets on Willard in the fall and Yuba in the spring, if there are low numbers of younger walleye in the Bay why not put a size restriction on the eyes such as all fish under 16 inches must be released, but I'm sure there is some biological reason why they can't. I do plan on making the local RAC meeting this fall that deals with fishing even though I think the regs that go into affect are for two years. I hope there will be other concerned walleye fisherman that attend as well. I use to attend the RAC meetings held at Brigham City for big game, after a few years of attending and not much getting done with recommendations from the public that was in attendance I stopped going. Granted it has been a few years and things may have changed. The wife and I do a little archery hunting in the state, but prefer to pay more money for our big game & bird hunts in WY. I'm glad the DWR has great expectations for Willard, time will tell.
