There are many wipers caught and released. There may be some that keep every fish and they are entitled to do so within the limits set. I understand your argument but the release of fish is a personal decision unless dictated by law on that body of water. I am sure some other wiper fishermen will join in but simply some are caught and kept some are released. That I think is true of both wipers and walleye. The population of wipers is down due to no stock. The state has had a difficult time raising wipers but have an ongoing effort.
