I have a 6 foot Griggs 3 wt. It is a fast action all the way and tough to cast any kind of distance. Works best with a four weight line which kinda defeated the purpose[laugh]
I also have a 5'3" glass 4/5 weight. It too is a fast action even though glass. It works best with a 4 wt Triangle Taper.
Then I have the 6'6" Cabela's glass and I can roll cast an easy 50', plus easy bow and arrow the fly in tight quarters. It is a 4/5 as well.
My LL is a medium fast action and a pleasure at a 2 wt. but it is 7' 9".
Spring Creek rods are what you might want to focus on.
