Should have clarified they are Sawyer oars and quite bullet-proof from my experience. Smacked them into my share of boulders on the Green with no problem. I wonder if water somehow got into a crack, and froze..

The Green regs require PFD and extra oar. During high season, the launch ranger will check for compliance.

Can't wait to take my Assault XX on the Green - hopefully in the next few weeks.
