Sounds like your local fishies have evolved into the winter mode. Praise be to the old deadly J & P. Have you used up all of that stuff I downloaded on your last trip here?
I haven't had much time to work on some of my new ideas, but I have a souple of new things for you to look at...including a buzzbait that is built on a hammered nickle spoon...with the clear plastic buzzblade in front. Rides high on slow retrieves, with lots of extra flash and wiggle. I have some made, and had a scan, but lost it when my computer got trashed at the shop last week.
How big are the fish running right now? Sometimes you can find them schooling up in the late fall, with some bigguns in the bunch. Also, how deep are they? Are they still easily fishable, or do you have to dredge for them?
